A Weedy Yard????

Okay, now I have never been one to boast or brag about my yard, and rightfully so. But yesterday in the mail, Larry and I recieved a notice from the Superstition Springs CMA Homeownwer's Association that said we are in violation of code 4-3 (h), which reads "Each owner of a lot or parcel shall keep all shrubs, trees, hedges grass and plantings of every kind located on (i)his lot or parcel (including set back area)...neatly trimmed and shall keep such areas properly cultivated and free of trash. weeds and other unsightly material..." We were instructed to remove the weeds growing in the "gravel areas." Above are the before and after pictures of my yard....don't laugh, I am definately not a member of the "green grass" club. I do however weed, when weeding is neccesary. You be the judge!!!

It's your back lawn. Did they come in your back yard to make sure there weren't any weeds?? It didn't look bad enough to get a letter!!

I have to disagree with Jenny. I think it is a total disgrace to the Superstition Springs neighborhood. It's people like you that give the neighborhood a bad wrap and bring the home values down. It's a real shame that you don't take more pride in your lawn, your neighborhood, and Mesa in general. May the Lord have mercy on your soul :))
(do you like the double chin smiley?)

No it is the front yard. I think our neighbors (we call them the Cleavers) reported us. The weeds could not be seen by the Superstition Springs Homeowners Association, because there "site tours" are done simply by driving by the houses...the Cleavers have a perfect view of our side yard, and that's where the small amount of weeds were found

Maybe if you guys didn't have googly eyes, you would have seen all the weeds coming up. way to go Cleavers for keeping you inline.

Kris, it looks good to me. I can't keep up on my weeds and Brian's no help when it comes to yard work!
Also the comments above are From Brian If you couldn't tell!
ps. I would get some ground sterilizer and when the Cleavers go to bed throw it in their yard! he he. I have some neighbors I would love to do that to but I'm to chicken! :)

Oops! I thought it was your back lawn, but now I can see it is your front lawn. And it still doesn't look
bad enough for a letter:)!

Be gratful you live in Mesa and not Orem. In orem you get arrested and hauled off to jail if you don't water your grass. Yes, I am serious. Green grass or you are in violation of some city beautification ordinance. There has been alot of press and law suits over this city ordinance but it hasn't been changed yet. Good thing my grass is green. Your after picture looks good. Tell the "Cleavers" to back off!

Well, You know what. They need to throw people in jail over this kind of behavior. Weeds are not a laughing matter, especially if you are the Cleaver's and have to look at them all day long. Allison probably found out the hard way about having to have a green yard with no weeds. I'm sure she didn't have to go to jail because of her smooth talking. And of course it doesn't hurt to have Jay there to beat up the cops car just in case :))
ps. just so everyone knows, I'm just teasing and not trying to hurt feelings. I don't want beat up and I don't want my vehicles harmed either. :))

I wish there was a HOA in my neighborhood cuz my neighbors across the street are morally against trimming. Doesn't sound so bad does it? Well it wouldn't be it the guy understood how to mow his grass but he's mentally retarded I think. The edges of all flower beds are outlined by a fence of grass that is literally a foot higher than everywhere else. This "fence" of higher grass extends along the sidewalk curb. It is hilarious, unless you live next to the weirdos, to look at cuz it looks like it was done on purpose. Words are failing to give this yard justice. I may have to just post some pictures on my blog. (sorry for the extremely long comment)

Please post some pics Brigitte!

Don't you just love the neighborhood associations. There are so many odd rules. Our neighbors received a similar letter informing them they were not watering their lawn enough.

Your yard looks great!!
